Waukon, Ia. - Funeral arrangements for John Jenkins, 70, who died suddenly at his home here Tuesday, are being delayed, awaiting the arrival of two sons in the navy, and stationed in California. One of them, John, left here Monday, following a 30-day leave after having spent two years in the South Pacific.
Mr. Jenkins had moved to Waukon from his farm in Ludlow township only a few days before his death. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Jenkins, early settlers of Ludlow township, and had always resided on the homestead.
Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Clara Peterson; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Tehell and Miss Joan Jenkins, both at home; three sons, Herbert, Ludlow township; Ralph, stationed with the navy at San Diego, California., and John, also in the Navy, at San Diego; four sisters, Miss Mary Jenkins, of southeast of Waukon, Mrs. Herb Waters, Frankville, Mrs. Len Miller, Ames, Ia., and Mrs. Ellen Peterson, McIntyre, Ia.
