MAY, YEOMAN, STANTON, FEUERHELM, SIRES

Frank Dexter May was born at Richmond, Ill., McHenry county the 7th day of August 1850, and died the 27th day of May 1922, at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 20 days. He came to Allamakee county at the age of 6 years and located at Milton, Iowa, where his father ran a grist mill for years and some time after that they moved to a place where his father bought a farm, known as the Jason Bulman farm. Some years after that he married Adel Louisa Yeoman of New Albin, to whom four children were born of which three are left to mourn his loss. One died in infancy. After his marriage he bought a farm joining his father's place and in time he sold out and bought the place known as the Wm. Yeoman farm, where he died.

Some years after the death of his wife he was married to Mary Stanton of Lawler, Iowa, at Trempealeau, Wis., on April 4th, 1899 and this union was blessed with three children as follows: Cletus H., Leo C. and Mildred F. who live on the old home place.

He also leaves two sisters and two brothers, Mary L. of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; Ida E. of Alliance, Nebr.; Dr. Henry B. May of Waukon and Chauncy G. of New Albin, Iowa.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L.D. Utts of Waukon at the Mt. Hope church Monday.

The children living of the first marriage are Mrs. Stella Feuerhelm of Lake Park, Iowa; Arthur May also of Lake Park, Iowa and Mrs. Etta Sires of Moose Jaw, Sask., Canada.
