Richard D. Burroughs, 76, of 16904 Rt. 200 West, East Dubuque, died at 10:15 a.m. April 3 at the Americana Health Care Center in Dubuque.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. on April 6 with Father Gorinas, pastor, officiating at the Nativity BVM Church in Menominee. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Visitation was from 1:00 to 9:00 on April 5 at the Miller Funeral Home where the Holy Name Society recited the rosary at 4:00 p.m. and the parish wake service was at 7:00 p.m. on April 5.

Mr. Burroughs was born near Dorchester, Iowa on July 30, 1904. He was the son of David and Mary (Moller) Burroughs. He was employed at the Chicago-Dubuque Foundry in East Dubuque, prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Nativity BVM Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife, the former Lucille Ricke; two sons, Karl H. of East Dubuque and William D. of Menominee; a daughter, Sandra Conzett of Davenport, Ia.; 11 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Mary) Helgeson of Decorah, Ia., Mrs. Walter (Florence) Radloff of East Dubuque, Mrs. Jerry (Della) Just of Clarkfield, Minn. and Mrs. James (Anna Mae) Waters of Caledonia, Minn.; five brothers, Jerome of Dubuque, Alfred and Roland, both of Waukon, Ia., Garland of Lansing, Ia. and Delbert of Bloomington, Ill.

The Meier Funeral Home of East Dubuque was in charge of arrangements.
