New Albin, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Fruechte, 82, were held Sunday afternoon at St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church, with the Rev. P. Franz Meier, pastor, and the Rev. H.W. Radloff, Eitzen, Minn., officiating. Burial was in the New Albin Cemetery.
Mrs. Fruechte was born in Eitzen, Germany, as Dorthea Dittmer, on Aug. 19, 1862. The family came to America in 1883, and made its home in New Albin. She was married to Henry Fruechte on Sept. 18, 1885, and lived on a farm near there until a number of years ago when they retired and moved to New Albin.
She is survived by three sons, the Rev. Adolph Fruechte, Chicago, Ill.; Paul, Los Angeles, Calif.; Ernest, New Albin; three daughters, Mrs. Selma Somermeyer, Balaton, Minn.; Mrs. Rosine Weymiller, New Albin and Mrs. Hanna Weymiller, at home; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and eight children.
