Johanna Callahan
The sudden death of this good lady and pioneer mother, at her home in Lafayette township, Sunday is a matter of universal regret. She was in her usual health about seven o'clock that morning when she awoke members of the family so as "not to be late for church," as she told them, but when called to her breakfast later,
It was found that her spirit had taken it's flight to Him who gave it. Death must have resulted from theart disease as she was a large, fleshy woman, though she never complained of a trouble of the kind. Her husband, the late Patrick Callahan, preceded her to the grave about two years ago. She was 72 years of age but aside from this we are without biographical particulars. A highly respected family member of five sons and three daughters , all grown survive to mourn her, and have the sympathy of all who know them in their greatest bereavement. The funeral yesterday morning at Wexford was largely attended.
