Patrick Callahan
The death of Patrick Callahan was announced Sunday & took place about 10 o'clock that morning at his home in Lafayette township after an illness with heart disease extending over a period two years. Mr. Callahan was 73 years of age. He was a native of county Limerick, Ireland, and came to this county forty-five years ago from Maysville,Ky. He was one of nature's noblemen and a prominent, well-to-do farmer who enjoyed the good will of all his neighbors and the esteem of a large circle of friends. A large estate was divided among his widow & nine surviving children, five sons and four daughters, a few days before he died.
The funeral yesterday from the house to Wexford church was very largely attended. A Solemn Requuim Mass was celerated and Father Sheehan of Paint Rock paid fitting tribute to the memory of a truly good man.
