Monona, Ia - Funeral services for Mrs. Norman Smith, 65, who died at her home here Tuesday, were conducted Saturday in the Methodist Church by the Rev. H.W. Farnham, pastor. Burial was in the Smithfield Cemetery.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Moyer and was born at Darlington, Wis., on May 27, 1878. She was married to Mr. Smith Aug. 2, 1896 and they farmed north of Monona where Mr. Smith died Feb. 18, 1927. Three years later Mrs. Smith came to Monona.
Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Lloyd Ferguson and Mrs. Lester Kaeser, both of Monona, and Carolyn of Seattle, Wash.; five sons, Loren of Decorah, Elmer of Elkader, and William, Melvin, and Carl all of Monona; 17 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Gust Colby of Monona, Mrs. Sidney Bowen of Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., and Mrs. Earl DeGraw of Cushing, Okla., three brothers, Elza Moyer of DeKalb, Ill., Homer of Dubuque, and William of Monona.
