Sudden Death of Mrs. G. Gruber

Mrs Gustave Gruber, nee Matilda Henry, died of a sudden heart attack last Wednesday night at her farm home northwest of Waukon. She was born April 26th, 1877, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry. Following her education in the rural schools she was married to Gustave Gruber Nov. 23rd, 1903, and since her marriage has lived on the same farm home until her death.

Besides her husband she is survived by three children, Verton at home, Delores of Decorah, and Merle, on a farm nearby; also two grandchildren, Beverly and Shirley Gruber, and one sister, Mrs. Moritz Gruber, of Lansing; three brothers, Joe, Andrew and John Henry, of Waukon, besides neices and nephews, and a host of friends who will mourn the passing of this kind and loving wife and mother, who with her quiet and pleasant disposition was a wonderful homemaker.

The funeral services were held from the Martin Funeral Home to the Zion Reformed Church, Waukon, Saturday afternoon at one-thirty, with Rev. E. L. Henning officiating and saying the final prayers at the graveside in Oakland cemetery. Pall bearers were six nephews, Clifford, Harold, Earl and Harris Gruber, Carl and Edward Groezinger.

Among out of town relatives and firends attending the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jordan of St. Paul, Minn.
