Sudden Death of Mrs. Andrew Williams
The acquaintances of Andy Williams and family of French Creek township, were deeply grieved to learn of the death of his wife on Thursday last. Her illness and death were due to blood poisoning following her confinement a few days previous. Physicians and all human skill were unavailing in staying the dark shadows of death. The life of the new born babe was of short duration and it too was called to the home beyound with its mother.
Mrs. Williams in her youth was Miss Mary Rothermel, and she was reared to womanhood in French Creek township. She leaves besides her sorrowing husband two children, aged eleven and three years. Five other children were born to her but they scarcely lived beyond their babyhood. She was loved and esteemed by a large circle of acquaintances and universal sorrow is occasioned in the neighborhood of her late home by her sudden demise. The funeral Saturday at Lycurgus was one of the largest ever seen there.
