Vernon J. Seybert, 52, of Grubbs, Arkansas died Sunday, January 13, in a New Port, Arkansas hospital from injuries sustained on Friday, January 4, when a tractor he was riding overturned on him. He had been a patient since the time of the accident. He was working on a farm in the area when the accident occurred.
Born September 7, 1910, [to Bradford and Helen (Rollinson) Seybert], he was employed in general farm labor. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; 2 stepsons, Clifford Miller of Arizona and Bonn Miller of Michigan; his mother, Mrs. Helen Seybert of Postville; a brother, Harlan of Ellenville, Minnesota; 2 sisters, Deva Howe of Waucoma, and a twin sister, Mrs. Verla Lawson of McGregor.
Funeral services were held January 15, at 2 p.m. at Ballews Chapel, the Rev. Grover Terry officiating. Burial was in the Ballews Chapel cemetery, New Port, Arkansas.
