H.W. Nuehring Farmed in Co. for Many Years
Herman William Nuehring, who was born in Clayton county Dec. 17, 1878, died Dec. 17, two days before his eighty-second birthday, at his Waterville home.
Pallbearers at the funeral home were Leland Meyer, William Thompson, Sven Hesla, George Sorenson, Thomas Monroe, and Inegman Larson
Nuehring, who had farmed in this area, was married to Edith A. Warnholtz Nov. 24, 1903, at Postville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nuehring, a son, Oliver Nuehring, and a daughter, Lucy E. Kalke, by four brothers and three sisters.
Remaining are his wife, one son, George, Waterloo, a sister, Mrs. Bertha Edmunds of Minneapolis, six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. W.F. Bernard of Colorado Springs, and Oliver A. Nuehring of Waukon, grandchildren, were reared in his home.
