Rites Held for Mrs. Nuehring

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov 17, at 1:30 p.m. from Martin funeral home in Waukon for Mrs. Edith Ann Nuehring, 86, of Waukon, who died Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. The Rev. E.O. Baalson officiated and interment was in the Postville cemetery.

Mrs. Nuehring was born Feb. 1, 1887 in Fayette county. She attended the local schools and Nov. 3, 1914 married Herman Nuehring, who preceded her in death.

Survivors are a son George of Waterloo, six grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two sisters, Mrs. Martin (Mamie) Halverson of Waukon and Mrs. Fredia Madison of California, and a brother John Warnholtz of Osage.

Three brothers, Henry, William and Charles, and three sisters Emma, Bertha, and Lena, preceded her in death. Mrs. Nuehring was a member of the Lutheran church.

My sister Georgia Bruns posted this obit for Nuehring, Edith Ann Warnholtz. The birth date should be Feb 1, 1886 and her age is one more year older (87).
