Myra Edna Jacobia, daughter of David and Lavina Jacobia, was born in Clayton county, Iowa, January 4, 1870, and died at her home in Postville, Iowa, December 1, 1934.
On August 23, 1889, she was united in marriage with Elmer Otis Gray. Two children were born to this union, both of whom survive: Ethel (Mrs. Withrow) of Pomona, Calif., and Kieth of Postville.
She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Carrie Ruff, and a brother, Ray Jacobia, both of Postville; and two grandchildren. She was also active in the care of her two nieces, Helen and Ruth Jacobia, and to Mary Simons, a Des Moines girl, to each of whom she ministered with tender and thoughtful care.
She was a charter member of the Community Presbyterian church and active in its Ladies' Aid Society, she was also a charter member of the Postville Monday Club. She gave liberally of her time in various civic and social activities. For several years she was the republican committeewoman for Post township.
The funeral was held from her home in this city Tuesday afternoon. Interment was made in the Eno cemetery in Clayton county.
