Word came to local relatives this week of the passing of Mrs. Henry C. Schultz in her home in Salem, Oregon, last Tuesday, where funeral services were held for her last Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Schultz was born as Miss Julia Ruef at Clermont and lived here in Postville after her marriage to Henry C. Schultz, who conducted a general store here for some years. On July 15, 1889, the family moved to Salem, Oregon, where they have since lived and where Mrs. Schultz was prominent in social affairs of the city for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Henry C. Schultz of Salem; four daughters, Mrs. Whitney Gill and Miss Elizabeth A. Schultz of San Francisco, Miss Mary Schultz and Mrs. Ella S. Wilson of Salem; a sister, Mrs. E. Kienley of Pasadena, Calif.; three brothers, Carl Ruef of Portland and George and Edward of Independence; five grandchildren, Jeanne, Richard and Julius Wilson of Salem and Robert and George Gill of San Francisco.
