Mrs. Emeline Allen, who passed away in Minneapolis, Minn., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Cowan, 2211 Lowry avenue north, August 10, at the age of eighty-one years, was brought to Postville Monday evening for burial beside her husband*, who preceded her 14 years. Mrs. Allen was one of the early pioneers of Postville and is survived by one son and four daughters - Charles F. Allen of Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Rose Bartholomew of Cresco; Mrs. Frances Beedy of Lewiston, Mont.; Mrs. Jennie Cowan of Minneapolis, Minn.; and Mrs. Daisy Richards of Bemidji, Minn.
