Mrs. Ray Ryan of Waukon has received news of the death of her brother-in-law, Leo J. Ryan, 41, at Boston, Mass. He was a son of Mrs. John W. Ryan of Harpers Ferry, where he was reared.

For some time past he held the position of political writer for the "Traveler", published at Boston, and was a former Washington correspondent for the Omaha, Neb., "World-Herald.

He is survived by his wife, four children and his mother. Burial took place in Boston.
