Funeral services for Ruth F. Jordon, age 70, were held Monday, January 16 at the United Methodist church in Lansing, Iowa. Mrs. Jordon of Luana, Iowa passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 in the Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Ruth, daughter of Melvin and Sylvia (Sandry) Hanson, was born September 6, 1941 in Lansing, Iowa. She loved playing cards and bingo, putting puzzles together and mostly going fishing. Ruth was totally devoted to her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Ruth Jordon was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Jordon, Sr., her parents, one brother Keith Hanson, and one great-grandchild, Madson Ackerman. She is survived by her four children: Debra (Tom) Weiss, Gwen (Richard) Brainard, Francis Jordon, Jr. and friend Angie McLaughlin, and John Jordon; two brothers, Ken (Alice) Hanson and Richard (Mary) Hanson, and a sister, Roberta Rolfs; in addition to a dear friend, Charles Gillespie, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
