A Memorial Service for Harley J. Radloff, Sr., age 83, of Chandler, Arizona and formerly of Postville, Iowa, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at the Heritage Lutheran Church in Gilbert, Arizona with the Rev. Richard Paustian officiating. Falconer Funeral Home of Gilbert, Arizona handled the arrangements.

Harley J. Radloff, son of Henry C. and Mahala (Hoth) Radloff, was born January 6, 1915 in Luana, Iowa. He had been a part-time resident of Chandler and Postville since 1965 until he moved to Chandler full-time seven years ago. Before his retirement, Harley was a farmer and built and managed the bowling alley in Postville, Iowa, as well as greens-keeper for the Tri-City Golf Course for 16 years. His wife was the former Mary Gentz.

Harley J. Radloff, Sr. died at his home in Chandler, Arizona on Tuesday, February 24, 1998 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lillian Jacobia, and a grandson, Lane Radloff.

Harley is survived by his wife, Mary, of Chandler, Arizona; a daughter, Lois (Keith) Meyer of Mesa, Arizona; 2 sons, Bruce Radloff and his companion, Mary, of Anaheim, California, and Harley (Valetta) Radloff, Jr. of Postville, Iowa; a brother, VerDean Radloff and a sister, Donna Mae Olson, also of Postville, Iowa; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
