Note: Ruth M. Corrigan, daughter of William Harvey and Sarah E. (Klees) Kelly, was born 8 December 1902 in Paint Creek Township, Allamakee County, Iowa. Ruth married Frank O'Brien on November 6, 1923 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Paint Rock, near Harpers Ferry, Iowa in Allamakee County. They became the parents of 3 children:
1. Helen E. O'Brien

b. June 12, 1924 in Allamakee County, Iowa

d. 23 February 1941 drowning accident at

Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin
2. Cyril Frank O'Brien

b.September 26, 1926
3. Mary Phyllis O'Brien

b. October 19, 1933 in Winneshiek County, Iowa

Ruth's husband, Frank died October 10, 1934. On September 30, 1946 Ruth married John Clem Corrigan at the Cherry Mound, St. Pius Catholic Church, rural Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Ruth and Clem farmed in Paint Creek Township, Allamakee County, Iowa. Ruth passed away in February 1979 at the Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin hospital. It is not known if Ruth is buried at Cherry Mound Cemetery with her first husband, Frank and daughter Helen, or if she was buried St. Joseph's Cemetery at Paint Rock near Harpers Ferry, Iowa which is where her second husband, Clem is buried when he died in 1989. The funeral card did not list her place of burial and it does not seem to be in the Woodmansee records.

Ruth had one brother, Reed William Kelly who died at the age of 7 on September 19, 1920.

Ruth (Kelly) Corrigan, married Frank O'Brien who died 1934 Oct 10. Married John Clem Corrigan who Died 1989 Nov 30. Ruth is buried in Paint Rock Cemetery beside John Corrigan. They both have a stone in Paint Rock.

The Dubuque Telegraph Herald, March 1, 1979 gave the following additional info.

birth date - December 18, 1902
death date - February 27, 1979 and she is
buried at the St. Joseph's Cemetery near Harpers Ferry, Iowa.

At the time of her death, her daughter Mary was married to Vernon Belote and was living in Orlando, Florida. There were 3 grandchildren.
