James V. Corrigan, son of James F. and Mary (Hart) Corrigan, was born April 26, 1893. He married Rose Cecelia McCormick on September 12, 1922 at the St. Pius Catholic Church at Cherry Mound in Allamakee County, Iowa. They became the parents of 11 boys. Charles Corrigan, Wayne Corrigan, James "Doc" Corrigan, Mark Corrigan, Michael Corrigan, Cyril Corrigan, Gerald Corrigan, John Corrigan, Patrick Corrigan, Robert Corrigan, and Richard Corrigan. James and Rose farmed in the rural Harpers Ferry and Waterville area until May of 1969, when they retired and moved Waukon, Iowa. James V. Corrigan died July 14, 1969. Burial was at the St. Joseph's Cemetery at Paint Rock near Harpers Ferry, Iowa in Allamakee County.

James F. Corrigan and Mary (Hart) Corrigan were the parents of 9 children: James V. Corrigan, John Clem Corrigan who went by the name Clem, Kate Corrigan, Mary Corrigan, Dorothea Corrigan, Michael Donald Corrigan, William Corrigan. Two other sons, the eldest, Thomas Corrigan and John Corrigan were both deceased by 1913.
