George Addison Leas, age 78, died Friday, August 23, 1996 at the Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa where he had lived the past ten years. He donated his body to science.

George was born March 24, 1918 in Linton Township, Allamakee County, Iowa to Raymond Addison Leas and Blanche (Hulse) Leas. He attended the Sixteen school and served in the United States Army.

George Addison Leas was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Melva Marie Leas who died as a child on November 11, 1931 at the age of 9 or 10. He is survived by his brother Robert Dean Leas who resides in Cedar Rapids, and many cousins who still reside in Allamakee County.
