Funeral services for Myrtle E. Weipert, age 83, of Dubuque, Iowa, former Allamakee County resident, were held Saturday July 30 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Dubuque, Iowa. Burial was in the Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa.

Myrtle, daughter of Louis and Louise (Kamp) Schultz, was born April 26, 1928 in Postville, Iowa. She attended school in Postville. She married Herbert Wlochal on September 1, 1945 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They became the parents of 6 children. On September 19, 1966 she married Samuel Weipert in Caledonia, Minnesota. She was employed at Sunnycrest Manor for thirteen years and at the Good Samaritan Home in Waukon, Iowa for five years. She was very creative and enjoyed spending time working on various craft projects. Myrtle enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino.

Myrtle E. Weipert died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Ennoble Manor Care Center in Dubuque, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a son, Edwin Wlochal; a grandson, Jesse Wlochal; and 2 sisters, Eunice Heins Newcomb and Dorothy Brink Paulson.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Martha Wlochal and Anna (Robert) Lanka; 3 sons, William Wlochal, Dale (Linda) Wlochal, and Raymond (Robin) Wlochal, all of Dubuque, Iowa; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren with another one on the way; 1 step-daughter, Florence (Alfred) Olson of Waukon, Iowa.
