Funeral services for Stephen Michael Brandt, age 41, of Glenville, Minnesota were held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 16 at Martin Funeral Chapel in Waukon, Iowa. Rev. Lynn Groe conducted the service. Burial committal with military services followed at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Ludlow Township in Allamakee County, Iowa. Pallbearers were Jim Normann, Jack Allison, Darold Berger, Vern Quanrude, Dale Herrman, and Terry Quanrude.

Stephen Michael Brandt was born December 18, 1948 in Waukon, Iowa to Willis and Nancy (Westby) Brandt. He attended Waukon High School and was a member of the Army infantry from 1968-1970 serving in Vietnam. He worked in sales and had lived in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area before moving to Glenville, Minnesota three years ago.

Stephen Michael Brandt died Wednesday, April 11, 1990 at Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his father Willis Brandt who died August 29, 1956, his grandparents, Edward and Leonora (Ludeking) Brandt, and an uncle Lloyd Brandt.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Warden of Dayton, Ohio; 2 children, Haley May of Dallas, Texas and Amy Brandt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a half-brother, Ron Warden of Dayton, Ohio and 2 half-sisters, Joanne Warden of Dayton, Ohio and Jeanine Warden of Mesa, Arizona; his uncle Ralph J. (Mary) Brandt of Waukon, Iowa and cousins, Dorothy Powell of Atkins, Iowa and Leo Brandt of Paradise, Texas.

NOTE: Stephen's uncle, Ralph J. Brandt died eight days later on April 23, 1990.
