Funeral services were held Saturday, May 11 for Lucy M. Strub, age 90, of Waukon, Iowa. The Right Rev. Monsignor Ed Lechtenberg conducted the services at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery with arrangements by Hanson Funeral Home. Casket bearers were Lee Strub, Kim Strub, Joey Strub, Brian Strub, Randy Ohrt, and Harry Allers III.

Lucy was born November 22, 1905 in Glenburn, North Dakota to John and Maggie (Driscol) Hollinger. On October 26, 1926 she married George Strub in Lansing, Iowa. Lucy was a member of St. Pat's Church and was a salesperson.

She died on Wednesday, May 8, 1996 at her home in Waukon, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and four brothers and sisters.

Lucy is survived by 2 sons, George "Vince" Strub of Sumner, Iowa and Dick Strub of Gig Harbor, Washington; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
