Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21 for Theresa V. Moritz, age 83, who died July 18, 1990 in Crestridge Nursing Facility in Maquoketa, Iowa. The Rev. J. Paul Stevens conducted the services at Murdoch-Linwood Chapel with burial in the Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Theresa was born January 16, 1907 in Waukon, Iowa to William and Belle (Moody) Martin. On January 7, 1925 she married William A. Moritz in Waukon, Iowa. Before retiring in 1970, she worked as a nurse's aid for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Annabelle Nelson and 3 brothers, Lawrence Martin, James Martin, and Henry Martin and 4 sisters, Virginia, Mary, Katie, and Esther Springer.

Surviving are her husband, William, a daughter Mary Lou Polley of St. Louis Park, Minnesota and a son Donald Moritz of Maquoketa, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and a brother Ralph Martin of Waukon, Iowa.
