Funeral services were held on Monday, October 7, at 11 a.m. for Ruby Crago, age 64, of Wonder Lake, Illinois who died Thursday, October 3, 1974 in Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock, Illinois. Schneider-Leucht-Merwin-Cooney Chapel was in charge of the services with Rev. Earl E. Kinney officiating. Interment was in the McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock, Illinois.

Ruby Evelyn was born July 9, 1910 in Postville, Iowa to John Pearl "J.P." and Carrie Jane (Taylor) Ellis. She graduated from the Postville High School. On March 19, 1927 she married Theodore "Ted" Crago who died July 17, 1973. She was also preceded in death by 3 sons, Duane "Fritz" Crago, Charles "Chuck" Crago, and James Crago; 1 daughter, Virginia Mae Crago who died as an infant, and 2 brothers, Lyle Dow Ellis who died at the age of 13 and an infant brother.

Survivors include 3 sons Leo "Buck" Crago of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Leonard Crago of Wonder Lake, Illinois and Curtis Crago of Richardson, Texas; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Clifford "Kip" Ellis, Kenneth Ellis, both of Postville, Iowa, LeRoy "Roy" Ellis of Castalia, Iowa, and Lloyd "Curly" Ellis of Moline, Illinois; 2 sisters, Naomi Hull of Diamond City, Arkansas, and Iva Bruckner of Harpers Ferry, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
