Luana resident Grace E. Barr, age 70, died Friday September 6, 1985 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon September 9 at Rossville Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Jacobson conducting the 1:30 p.m. services. Burial was in the Smithfield Cemetery at Volney, Iowa. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Lloyd Lamborn, Warren Barr, Patrick Barr, George Decker, Lloyd Bechtel, and Lester Fish.

Grace was born March 28, 1915 in Allamakee County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Adda (Smith) McShane. She attended local schools and married Harry Barr on November 16, 1935 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Mrs. Barr was preceded in death by her husband who died May 8, 1965.

She is survived by a son, Conrad Barr of Waukon, Iowa and a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Judith) Landt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; a brother, Don McShane of Luana, Iowa and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Lamborn of Clermont, Iowa and Mrs. Lulu Buntrick of Luana, Iowa.
