Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Paul "Butch" Waldron, age 42, died Tuesday, July 15, 1986 at his home in Waukon, Iowa. Services were held Thursday, July 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Larry Duenas officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Jerry Martin, Mike A' Hearn, Greg Waldron, Johnny Waldron, Terry Roggensack, Pat Waldron, Kenny Troendle, and Jack Peyton. Honorary pallbearers were hephews Mark, Dennis, Rick, and Jim Waldron, Jeff, Ross, Andy, and Kirk Roggensack, Brian, Eric and Darrin Sullivan, and Kelly Howell.
Paul was born August 22, 1943 in Waukon, Iowa to James and Amanda (Bodendorfer) Waldron. He attended St. Patrick's School and graduated from Waukon Senior High School and Waterloo Barber College. He married Cheryl Peyton on May 7, 1966 at St. Patrick's Church. He was a lifelong resident of Waukon and a barber in Waukon for 23 years. He served in the National Guard from 1964 to 1970. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; 2 sons Michael Waldron and Brady Waldron; 4 brothers, Vernon Waldron, Bill Waldron, John Waldron, and Stan Waldron; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Milo (Maxine) Howell, Mrs. Richard (Jeanne) Roggensack, and Mrs. Roger (Marie) Sullivan.
