William F. Evanson, age 32, of Waukon, Iowa died Tuesday, August 5, 1986 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. Services were held today, Thursday, August 7 at 1 p.m. at Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church, rural Waterville, Iowa. The Rev. Lynn Groe officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Jim Evanson, Steve Evanson, Tom Cota, John Regan, Jr., Arden Hanson and Earl Sanderson. Burial was in the Old East Paint Creek Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

William was born in Waukon, Iowa on October 25, 1953 to Honroe and Wilma (Hanson) Evanson of Waukon, Iowa. He received his education at Lansing Kee High School and Northeast Iowa Technical Institute in Calmar, Iowa. He was employed as a farm worker for area farmers.

Surviving are his parents; one brother, Robert Evanson of Winona, Minnesota; and three sisters, Mrs. Jerry (Betty) Finley of Stewartville, Minnesota, Mrs. Chris (Lucille) Halcro of Littleton, Colorado, and Mrs. Gary (Carol) Whittle of Lansing, Iowa.

Waukon- William F. Evanson, 32, was dead on arrival at Veterans Memorial Hospital on Tuesday.

Survivors include his parents, Honroe and Wilma Evanson of Waukon; a brother, Robert of Winona, Minn.; and three sisters, Betty Finley of Stewartville, Minn., Lucille Halcro of Littleton, Colo., and Carol Whittle of Lansing.

Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church, Waterville. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Martin's.
