Helen Hansmeier

Mrs. John (Helen) Hansmeier, 75, Waukon, died at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Wednesday, July 25.

She was born July 2, 1904 in Allamakee County, the daughter of William and Mary (Stock) Adam. She attended local schools and was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ in Ludlow Township. She married John Hansmeier December 14, 1922 in Allamakee County.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Merlin, Waukon; one brother, Elmer, Postville; one sister, Mrs. Clarence (Martha) Ludeking, Decorah; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Walter and a sister, Edna.

Funeral services were held July 27, 1:30 p.m. at Salem United Church of Christ. The Rev. Robert Lueck officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
