Lifetime Spring Grove, Minnesota area resident Roy A. Tyribakken, age 75, died Thursday, October 13, 1988 at the Caledonia, Minnesota Health Care Center. Funeral services were held Saturday October 15 at 2 p.m. at Waterloo Ridge Lutheran Church, rural Spring Grove. The Rev. Gordon Smedsrud officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery with Roble Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Roy was born July 30, 1913 in Spring Grove, Minnesota to Carl and Clara (Clauson) Tyribakken. He attended Allamakee County schools and married Leona Ingvalson in June of 1936. She died in December 1957. He and Muriel Myhre were married February 12, 1960 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He was a farmer and a livestock trucker and a member of the Waterloo Ridge Church where he had served on the church council. He served as clerk for Waterloo Township for 30 years and for many years served on the election board.

Surviving are his wife, Muriel, and a son Jeffery Tyribakken, who is stationed with the Air Force in Bellevue, Nebraska.
