Mrs. Thomas (Mary Ann Houlihan) Doubek, age 53, of rural Waukon, Iowa died Sunday, March 5, 1989 at Veterans Memorial Hospital. Private funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m. with burial in Hanover Cemetery. Hanson Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Private funeral services were held Monday March 6, 1989 for Mary Ann Doubek, age 53, of rural Waukon, Iowa. She died Sunday, March 5, 1989 at Veterans Memorial Hospital. The 1 p.m. services were conducted by Father Ed Lechtenberg at Hanson Funeral Home, Waukon, Iowa. Burial was in Hanover Cemetery. Casket bearers were Mick Eberhart, Randy Sweeney, Casper Jostand, Robert Oesterle, Gary Oesterle, and Donnie Schwartzhoff.

Mary was born February 7, 1936 in Caledonia, Minnesota to Leo and Louise Houlihan. She attended high school in Caledonia where she lived until November 5, 1955 when she married Thomas Doubek in Caledonia, Minnesota. Since their marriage, they had made their home in Waukon, Iowa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Michael Doubek.

Survivors include her husband, 3 daughters, Debbie Doubek, Mrs. Melvin (Vicky) Larson, and Mrs. Doug (Barb) Crary; 7 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Virginia Oesterle and Helen Houlihan, both of Caledonia, Minnesota.
