Orrin Dundee Passes; Funeral Held Here
Spent Entire Lifetime In Allamakee County
Orrin C. Dundee, a lifelong resident of Allamakee county, passed away on last Wednesday at the home of his son, John Dundee, near Harpers Ferry, and funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Schutte Funeral Home in this city, conducted by Rev. Curtis H. Webster. Burial was in the Smith cemetery near the Old Stone House.
Mr. Dundee was born at Waukon on March 1, 1866, the son of John and Hulda Dundee, and was 77 years old.
In 1891 he was married to Ida Mae Brandis, who passed away in December 1921. To them were born nine children, six sons and three daughters, of whom the following survive: Mrs. Phillip Steffens, Clermont; John Dundee of Harpers Ferry; Fred Dundee of Waukon; William Dundee of Hebron, Ill.; Wallie Dundee of Waukon; and Lawrence Dundee of Lake Geneva, Wis. Three children, Frank, Annie and Mrs. Lillian Bray, have passed on.
Mr. Dundee is also survived by 19 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three sisters and one brother. The latter are, Mrs. Ruth Bray of Postville, Mrs. Nora Bray of Lansing, Mrs. Jas. French of Lanark, Ill., and William Dundee of Postville.
