Albert Dundee

Funeral services for Albert Dundee were held Wednesday, Oct. 24, 1990 at 1:30 p.m. in the Garden City United Methodist Church in Monona. The Rev. Gary Dobbins officiated. Ric Benzing was the organist. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements.

Albert Henry Dundee, son of William and Henrietta (French) Dundee, was born June 21, 1916 in Allamakee County near Postville, Iowa. He died Sunday, Oct. 21, 1990 in Veterans Memorial Hospital at Waukon, Iowa.

He received his education in the Volney and Smithfield schools. He was a member of the Garden City United Methodist Church in Monona.

On Oct. 3, 1959, he was married to Maryann Nuehring at Nashua, Iowa. They had 5 children. He was the caretaker for several cemeteries in Allamakee and Clayton Counties and put in field tile for farms in the area. Albert had also been employed at Hygrade and Iowa Turkey Products in Postville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Wayne, a brother, Harvey, a sister, Alberta Dundee and a half-brother, Harry Gobin.

He is survived by his wife, Maryann, 3 sons, Kevin of Luana; Lee Dundee of West Union and Joseph Dundee of Garnavillo, IA; a daughter, Jean Schon of Waukon, 3 grandchildren, a brother, Alfred Dundee of Cedar Rapids, IA and a sister, Nora Ronnfeldt of Waterville, IA.

Casket bearers were Gary Dundee, Loren Dundee, Robert Ronnfeldt, Alfred Ronnfeldt, Randy Martie, Larry Martie.
