William Sevatson, 78, a former Waukon, Iowa resident, died Saturday, October 25, 1980 at the North Grand Care Center in Ames, Iowa where he resided. Born September 8, 1902 in Waukon, he was the son of Sevat and Anna (Sando) Sevatson. He attended Luther Academy and Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He was a farmer, an insurance salesman, and former Mason.

He is survived by a son Richard of New Canaan, CT and a sister, Isabelle Larson of Waukon. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 28, 1980 at 1:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon. The Rev. Henry Heinbuch officiated with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Wadsworth, Arnold Olson, Dr.John Cox, Al Weihs, and Karl Simmons.
