The death of James Howe occurred Tuesday, August 1, at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for many weeks. Funeral services were held from St. Patrick's Church, Friday, Aug. 4, with interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
James Howe was born in Waukon January 21, 1900, a son of Edward and Grace O'Donnell Howe. He had worked as a painter and never married. Surviving are brothers Joseph, Donald, Walter and half brothers, Alfred and John, all of Waukon; sisters Mrs. Mamie Dvergsten, Decorah and Miss Leona Howe, Waukon.
Bakke and Hanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
