Bernice Pauline Lenth was born November 8, 1916 at Waukon, IA. She received her education at the Waukon School.

Bernice was united in marriage to Lorado Lenth December 1, 1939. She enjoyed gardening, antiques, flowers, jewelry and spending time with her grandchildren.

Bernice died Sunday, January 10, 1999 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Lorado, who died September 23, 1963.

Survivors include a son, Dennis (Kathy) Lenth of Cedar Falls, IA; a daughter, Mary Ann (Steve) Koenig of Cedar Rapids, IA; four grandchildren, Teri Lenth of Chicago, IL, Kristi Lenth of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jennifer Koenig Shirk of Ames, IA and Jodi Koenig of Chicago, IL; a brother, Dale Hesse of Waukon, Ia; a sister, Elaine Tangen of Estherville, IA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 13, 1999, 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, IA. Pastor Bruce Hanson officiated. Pallbearers were Ronald Tangen, Josh Tangen, Calvin Snitker, Bernard Snitker, Darwin Winke and Cletus Winters. Burial was in the Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery, Farmersburg, IA. Schultz's Funeral home of Monona was in charge of services.
