Funeral services for Harold "Ike" Ludeking were held on Monday afternoon, July 12, at 2:00 p.m. from Bakke and Hanson Funeral Home, Waukon, with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mr. Ludeking died Saturday at the Postville Community Hospital following a period of ill health.
Harold Ludeking was born at Woden on November 5, 1905, a son of Ulrich and Mary Kiesau Ludeking. He graduated from Crystal Lake High School and attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City. He spent much of his later life in and around Allamakee County where he farmed, had been in the implement and car business and more recently conducted a business in Postville. He was married on April 6, 1942 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Detroit, Michigan, to Constance Kibby, who survives. Other survivors are a brother, Bernard Ludeking, Mason City; three sisters, Mrs. Ted Gerdes (Gertrude), Clear Lake; Mrs. Ed Giesking (Estelle), and Mrs. Dale Rittenhouse (Arlene), both of Woden.
