Gladys F. Lang, 81, died Sept. 2, 1988 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 4, 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. Rev. Lynn Groe officiated. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon, Iowa. Martin's Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
Gladys F. Lang, daughter of William Bublitz and Lydia Buege Bublitz was born June 22, 1907 in French Creek Township, Allamakee County. She received her education in the French Creek Township rural schools.
She married Harold Lang March 15, 1946 at Strawberry Point. They farmed in the Frankville township area for 15 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Floyd and Vern and one grandson.
Surviving is her husband, Harold; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Shirley) Hesse of Postville; 2 step-children, Richard Lang of Marion and Margie Hesse, Texas; 3 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruby) Sivesind of Oelwein; 5 brothers, Dale Bublitz, of Mason City; Albert, Allen, William and Merlin Bublitz, all of Waukon.Pallbearers were Paul Fox, Dennis Hesse, Brad Hesse, Jimmy Ingles, Roger Bublitz and Gregg Bublitz.
