Burial of Judge Dick Haney of Huron took place this afternoon in Lansing, Ia., his former home. Funeral services were held here Tuesday afternoon and then the body, accompanied by his wife and family, was taken to Lansing for burial. Judge Haney, 95, was a long-time South Dakota jurist and the last of the original group of South Dakota state officers. He was elected circuit judge in 1889 when the state was admitted to the union.

________P.J. Larrabee and two children, Patricia and James, arrived in Huron yesterday morning to attend the funeral services in the afternoon for Judge Dick Haney. Mrs. Larrabee, daughter of Judge Haney, and baby had been here the past few weeks due to his illness. The Larrabees reside in Ottumwa, Ia.

Note: Dick Haney 11/10/1852-5/3/1948 is buried in Oak Hill cemetery, Lansing. He was twice married, 1st to Roxie Doe, and 2nd to Florence Tredway.
