Last Rites For Paul W. Klees
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. from Martin Brothers funeral home in Waukon for Paul Walter Klees, 53, of Franklin township, rural Monona, who died Sunday, Feb. 21 in Waukon Veterans Memorial hospital.
The Rev. Robert Schultz officiated and burial was in Oakland cemetery. He was born April 17, 1917 in Linton township of Allamakee county and was a son of Frank and Etta Cowell Klees. He was educated in the local schools and Sept. 8, 1942 married Carol Moose in Allamakee county.
Survivors are his wife, seven daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Linda Lou) Heller of Carlinville, Ill., Mrs. James (Sandra) McKee of Lansing, Dixie Lee, Janet, Janice, Nancy and Susan, all of Monona, and two sons, Kermit and Daniel of Monona. One grandchild, a brother, Raymond Klees of Monona, and two sisters, Mrs. John (Clara) Kelly of Harpers Ferry and Mrs. Everett (Marie) McKee of Castalia, also survive. He was preceded in death by a son, Samuel.
Mr. Klees was a farmer. He was a member of Volney United Methodist church.
Pallbearers were Steve Vichlach, Rod Freilinger, Frank Unertl, Lyal Mitchell, Chad Cooper and John Belsker.
