Donald Kohrs, 59, Tampa, Fla., died April 5 at Hillsborough County Hospital in Tampa. He was a former Postville resident.

Donald Kohrs was born December 7, 1919 to John and Amanda (Schroeder) Kohrs in Postville and was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He attended the rural schools of the Postville area. He married Clara Limkemann December 22, 1947 and to this union three children were born.

While living in the Postville area, he worked as a livestock buyer. They moved to Milwaukee, Wis., where he was a livestock buyer and was also employed as a cab driver. After 22 years they retired and moved to Tampa, where he lived for the last five and one half years.

He is survived by one son, Douglas; one daughter, Mrs. John (Connie) Szada; three granddaughters, Teresa Marie, Charlene Denise and Stephanie Ann, all of Riverview, Fla.; and one brother, Delbert, of Independence, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Clara, one son, Daniel and one brother, Silas.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 7 at 1:30 p.m. at Schutte Funeral Home. The Rev August Limkemann and the Rev. Paul Limkemann officiated. Burial was in the Postville cemetery. Schutte Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
