Mrs. SIGMUND (Laura Albertine E. Lembke) KOEHLER 1895-1981
Services were held for Laura Koehler November 2 at St. John Lutheran Church in Madison, South Dakota. Burial was at St. John's Cemetery in Ramona, South Dakota.
Laura Albertine Emma Lembke was born February 10, 1895 in Allamakee County to Fred and Elsie Lembke. She died October 30, 1981 in Madison, South Dakota.
She was married to Sigmund Koehler October 17, 1917 at Monona. The couple moved to South Dakota and farmed west of Ramona until the late 40's, when they retired and moved into Madison, South Dakota. Her husband passed away in 1961.
She moved into the Bethel Lutheran Home in Madison in 1972. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one niece. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ramona and later St. John Lutheran Church in Madison.
Survivors include one brother, Arthur Lembke of Burlington; nephews, Pastor Gerald Koehler of Sisseton, South Dakota, Elmer Erb of McGregor, Oscar Lembke of Decorah; nieces, Mrs. Norman Hageman of Winfred, South Dakota, Helen Larson of Monona, Louise Davis and Frances Stockburger.
