Agnes B. Kosbau, 87, died Aug. 19 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. She had lived in this area throughout her life and had lived in Waukon prior to living at the Good Samaritan Center.

Services were Thursday, Aug. 22 at Zion United Church of Christ, Waukon, conducted by the Rev. Henry Heinbuch. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gregory Steffenson, Kent Pfeifer, Troy Pfeifer, Loren Fiet, Harold Jacobson, Terry Mohs and Dennis Davies.

She was born May 27, 1898 in Jefferson Township, the daughter of John Geving and Isabelle Johnson Geving. She attended rural schools in the area.

She was married May 17, 1922 to George Kosbau at the Old West Paint Creek Parsonage. He died in November, 1951.

They (sic) are survived by 2 children, Mrs. Robert (Norma) Fiet of Postville and Mrs. Frank (Betty) Pfeifer of Buffalo, MN, and by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a brother, Theodore Geving of Waukon. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joseph and Herbert.
