Sudden Death of John F. Becker At Dubuque
Burial 22 Nov 1936

Sundays Telegraph-Herald contained news of the death of John F. Becker, who was born and reared in Ludlow township.

His body was found in the room he occupied on Iowa Street Friday, apoplexy being ascribed as the cause of death. An examination by he coroner revealed that he had apparently been dead since Wednesday.

Deceased was a carpenter, painter, and decorator by trade, and was born in Ludlow township June 9, 1870, where he grew in manhood. The past 20 years of his life had been spent at Dubuque. He is survived by three brothers and three sisters, namely: Simon, Madison, Wis.; Paul, New Ulm, Minn.; George A. Becker, Dubuque; Mrs. Henry Bechtel, Waukon; Mrs. Wm. Krumme of Ludlow township; and Mrs. A. G. Goulette of Indianapolis, Ind. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Becker, and a brother preceded him in death.

The remains were brought to Salem Reformed church in Ludlow Sunday, where services were held at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. E. M. De Buhr. Burial was in the family lot in the adjoining cemetery. The pallbearers consisted of Ed. Becker, Otto Sanderman, Albert Snitker, Chas. Klepper, Henry Duval and Julius Bauercamper.

Relatives from a distance who attended the services were Simon Becker, his daughter, Mrs. Stella Pankow, C.L. Donavon and Wm. Welston, Madison; Paul Becker, New Ulm, Minn.; Lyle Becker, Welcome, Minn.; Geo. Becker and son Eldon, Roy Thoes, Chas. and George Eichorn of Dubuque.

From a scrapbook of Ella, Mrs. William Krumme, continued by her son, Milton Krumme. All articles were neatly clipped so I do not know what paper they were from.
