Mrs. Obert (Clara Klein) Harris

SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. OBERT HARRIS

Services were conducted from St. Paul Lutheran church Thursday, February 17, for Mrs. Obert Harris who died February 14 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville. The Rev. Norman Ullestad officiated.

Clara Klein Harris, daughter of August Klein and his wife Hanna Ludking Klein was born June 8, 1893, in Allamakee county. She was baptized and confirmed in Bethlehem Presbyterian church in Ludlow.

November 27, 1912, she was united in marriage to Obert Harris in Waukon. To this union 12 children were born. The couple farmed in Allamakee county until they retired and moved to Postville.

Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, one sister and four grandchildren.

She is survived by 12 children; Mrs. Vern (Beulah)Meyer, Robert and Leo, Postville; Milo, Lynxville, Wisconsin; Mrs. Robert (Gertrude) Block, State Center; Mrs. Ray (Ruth) Burnham, Sparta, Wisconsin; George, Lemoore, California; Mrs. Luther (Hazel) Pearcy, Electra, Texas; Virgil, Bloomingdale, Illinois; Don, San Pedro, California; Russell, Manchester; Mrs. Marvin (Lula) Kruse, Luana; 44 grandchildren; 66 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister Mrs. William (Anna) Duvel, Waukon.

Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
