John F. Harris

John Frederick Harris, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris of Bloomingdale, Illinois was born at Postville on January 26, 1948. He died on April 11, 1964, as the result of an automobile accident.

He attended the Postville schools until moving to Bloomingdale in 1956, and at the present time was a sophomore in Lake Park high school, Edina, Illinois. He was also a member of the Pioneer Youth Group in the community.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his father; his stepmother; two brothers, James and Richard; two sisters, Jean Marie Harris and Delores Jean Stark; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Obert Harris of Postville; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Styrk Myhre of Caledonia, Minnesota, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Itasca, Illinois on April 14, 1964, with the pastor of the church, Rev. Swenson, officiating. Graveside services were held in Postville on April 15, 1964, with the Rev. Charles E. Witt, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating.
