Katrina Marie Peters

Katrina Marie Peters, 8, of Postville, IA died Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, IA, following a sudden illness.

She was born January 10, 1995, in Seoul, Korea to Derrick and Maria (Bacor) Peters.

At the time of her death, Katrina was attending the third grade at John Cline Elementary School in Decorah, IA. She loved spending time with her family and special friends. Katrina enjoyed swimming and listening to music.

Survivors include her parents, Derrick and Maria Peters, Postville; a sister, Jennifer Bacor, Colorado; paternal grandparents, Gene and Sharon Peters, Monona; material grandfather, Fernando Bacor, Philippines and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her maternal grandmother, Lucia Bacor, preceded her in death.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2003 at Garden City United Methodist Church, Monona with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Council Hill Cemetery, rural Monona, IA.

Casket Bearers: Drew Pape, Shaun Christofferson, Steve Nesteby and Stan Looney. Organist: Priscilla Miene.
