Death of James Sweeney.
The death of James Sweeney, a long time inmate of the county Home, took place Monday afternoon. He was born on a farm near Lansing and was aged about 76 years. His father and mother died many years ago and he is the last of the family, his only surviving relatives being cousins.

During his young days at Lansing he was an honest and hard working man. In early life he began to lose his sight and hearing and when his double affliction prevented his working and his means were gone, he took refuge at the County Home, where he was well cared for.

The funeral takes place today with requiem mass at Lycurgus at 9 a.m. and burial beside his parents in the Lycurgus cemetery.
