Obituary from Waukon Democrat December 20, 1922

Mrs. Simon Grotegut died at her home in Ludlow township on Saturday, Dec. 16th, after an illness of several months. She was a daughter of Mrs. Wm. Stock, Sr., of southeast Ludlow, and was 43 years of age, the date of her birth being July 1, 1879. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Salem Reformed church, conducted by Rev. Stuebbe, with burial in the cemetery nearby.
